    3. I need help knowing where to go next. I found and paid for the Civil War military records of Robert Meiklehaugh for Co B & Co I NY Heavy Artillery from the Washington DC National Archives. I also found some info about him in the New York Civil War Muster Roll Abstracts - Military 1862 NY. http://dmna.ny.gov/historic/mil-hist.htm His general info is: Robert Melckechaugh [It also is deciphered as- Mcickelhaugh]; b. abt 1829 Edingburgh, Scotland, age 34, Occupation: Gardener I want to know if I should go to the NY Civil War site and see if they have any more info about this man. This will cost for EACH name I search for. One of my problems is that there have been about 6 spellings of his name in the few pieces of military papers that I have seen. How many times would I have to look for it??? AND Would there be any more information than what I saw on ancestry (listed above)? NEED ADVICE. Thanks, Cindy in Tennessee
