On Sunday, October 28 at 1:00 pm, Loretto (Lou) Szucs and Juliana (Szucs) Smith of Ancestry.com, the largest online genealogical research website and database repository in the world, will join the New York Irish History Roundtable to describe Ancestry’s online holdings. Their presentation will emphasize content concerning Irish and Irish-American genealogical research – with a focus on the New York City area. Of particular interest will be the recently-released U.S. Federal Census of 1940, which has caused a great excitement in the genealogical research community. There will be time for questions and answers in this presentation, and there will be demonstrations of online sources of information. Please note: this is a Sunday program that begins at 1:00 p.m. It will take place in the McCloskey Room, Parish House for St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, 263 Mulberry Street.
