The Kjellgren family arrives in 1922 (most of them) and can be found in the census of Queens, New York for the years 1925/1930/1940: http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1925NYStateCensus&h=21665843&indiv=try&o_vc=Record:OtherRecord&tid=34981398&tpid=18730186858&rhSource=6224 http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1930usfedcen&h=45262463&ti=0&indiv=try&gss=pt&ssrc=gr_t34981398_p18730186858_ktidz0q3d34981398z0q26pidz0q3d18730186858z0q26hidz0q3d41592659361z0q26dbidz0q3d6224z0q26rpidz0q3d45262463z0q26ssrcz0q3dgrz0q26pgz0q3d32799z0q252c32842z0q26pgPLz0q3dtidz0q257cpidz0q257chidz0q257cdbidz0q257crpidz0q257cssrcz0q26pgPSz0q3d18730186858_h41592659361 http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1940usfedcen&h=7374599&indiv=try&o_vc=Record:OtherRecord&tid=34981398&tpid=18730186858&rhSource=6224 As you can see, the son Gus (full name Gustav Emanuel) is only present in the census for 1925. Looking into this and talking to relatives I have found his death date, Sep 25th 1933 in New York, using Stephen Morse's site, he is named "Kjellegren": http://stevemorse.org/vital/nydeathresults.html?Esurname=kjellgren&Efirst=&kind=sounds&EnterSoundexCode=K426&County=Queens&cert=&age1=&age2=&unit1=4&unit2=4&StartYear=&EndYear=&month=&day=&birth1=&birth2=&pgsz=100&auth=&time=1339448073478&host=www.italiangen.org I also know he married sometime between 1925 and some years before his death, there were two children (may still be alive), Roger and June. My question is, why am I unable to find this family in the 1930 census? Is there a way to find the marriage record? Suggestions welcomed!
