If they married in Queens County, in 1915, a pre-marriage license was required by NYC; this is separate from a civil marriage certificate which would be filed post marriage event. Licenses were required from 1908-1951. Marriage Licenses are searchable in person and cannot be ordered by mail, at the Archives.
