Hi Maureen, What census years did you find them living in what county? Ancestry has a birth index cor NY & BKLN does 1891-1901, which does not comply with your dates. If the children were born in NY County, the birth index and certificate films are at the NYC Municipal Archives and may be searched in person. Since you are outside of the USA, please note that the county in NYS is the most vital piece for locating all vital records.
