Well, I've joined the band of those researching the 1910 Hawley Harvey CRIPPEN Poison-Dismemberment murder case! To that end, I've been amassing (with much sweat and brain-burning) a genealogical record of those connected. One connection is Cora Crippen's sister, Theresa. Born about 1875-1876, Theresa changed names to MERSINGER when her mother remarried. Then she married, about the turn of the century, to Sigmund (amazingly listed as Sickman) HUNN. In the 1910, a step-son is included, which rather goes along with a second marriage for Theresa. John MANN, aged 14. Now, admittedly not likely, it could have been meant to read John HUNN. The boy could have been the son of a brother of Sigmund's. But more reasonably, it is the offspring of Theresa's former union to some unknown MANN. Can you help me find this guy? Apparently he was born Germany. It could be he came to New York around 1890 and died before 1900. Then it becomes much more difficult an undertaking, naturally. So thanks for whatever you can do to pinpoint Theresa's former spouse. Every bit or piece of information could be of assistance in the unravelling of this mystery. Or it could just be fun.
