Corliss was pastor of the Van Alst Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church, Van Alst Ave. and Eleventh St., Long Island City, Queens. I found this in a 1916 article in the Brooklyn NY Daily Eagle on fultonhistory.com. In this article (which had a photo of the pastor), it said that the minister had accepted an invitation by the church board to serve another year at the church, and this (1916) was his 2nd year of service.
