At the Municipal Archives there is a micro film of the town ledger . However, I have never found any of the certificate I needed there. On a visit to the National Archives in NYC I found microfic with birth certificate numbers for Woodhaven. Once I located my family (the list is by year, then surname) I had to send to Albany for the certificates. This is a long process - 6 months to a year. But I believe you will be able to locate the certificate numbers at the National Archives. Stacey
Dear Stacy, I believe you are talking about the New York State birth, marriage and Death indexes which are at NARA in Manhattan and NY State Archives in Albany. Please remember that NYC was only Manhattan and a part of the Bronx up to l898. So before l898 the other boros would be listed under The New York State vital records indexes Hope this is helpful to all.
