Surnames: HEWLETT, MOTT Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WUB.2ACI/1289 Message Board Post: Hi all, Two of my 4th great-grandparents are, Sylvanus Dusenberry Hewlett 1801-1878 and his wife, Elizabeth "Betsey" Mott 1803-1895. Sylvanus' parents were Hannah Langdon and Stephen Hewlett. They had the following children; Jane, Charles, Cornwell, Elizabeth A. Stephen, and Whitehead. Cornwell married an as yet unknown named lady and they were the parents of Caroline "Carrie" 1855-1923 and Elizabeth Hewlett b. about 1856. Carrie is my 2nd great-grandmother. Seems that Carrie and Elizabeth were raised by their grandparents, their father was still living but I assume their mother had died. I don't know what happened to Elizabeth after 1860, she is not listed with her sister and grandparents in the 1870 census. If anyone knows anything about what happened to this Elizabeth or is related to any of the people I mentioned above please reply here or e-mail me. Thank you. God bless, Beth
