    3. morning! I have Sarah Hewlett( parents unknown) married to Sarjt James Smith. They are the parents of at least Sarah( Sally ) Smith. Sally married Thomas Soper who was b. May 16, 1800. Sally and Thomas had at least Sarah Jane Soper b dec 13, 1841, d May 28, 1906. Sarah Jane married Stephen Herny Mott, b. dec or Nov 17, 1837, d May 26, 1866. Stephen and Sarah Jane had 4 children , 2 lived to adulthood, one was my grerat grandmother, Georgianna who was prob. b on Long Island and died in Lynbrook in 1926. Stephen Henry Mott was prob from the Lynbrook, Valley Stream or Hempstead area. My Mother said Sarah andd James were from Connecticut but I think she may have meant they sailed across Long Island sound possibly as revolutionary war people but this last bit is only conjecture. I would be happy to exchange all of what I have althought some is supposition if we can find more on the Smith and Hewlett connection. wishfully, valerie in south florida, --- deliaesther@att.net wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to > this mailing list. > > Surnames: HEWLETT, MOTT > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WUB.2ACI/1289 > > Message Board Post: > > Hi all, > Two of my 4th great-grandparents are, Sylvanus > Dusenberry Hewlett 1801-1878 and his wife, Elizabeth > "Betsey" Mott 1803-1895. > Sylvanus' parents were Hannah Langdon and Stephen > Hewlett. > > They had the following children; > Jane, Charles, Cornwell, Elizabeth A.
