To all of you that responded to my trouble concerning my grandmother Margarete HAUSS' place of birth, and how I might get her birth record...thank you so much! I decided to go to the NYC Municipal Archives website, and have them search for her birth record through both Kings and Queens County, using the certificate number I have.
