    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WUB.2ACI/1320.1 Message Board Post: You can get a death certificate even though they say direct line. I have request and receive several and just say that the person is my aunt or uncle. You should also request a genealogy copy which doesn't have the official seal on it but all the information that you need. The cost is $22 per certificate. My experience with getting information from cemeteries in New York has not been good. I too live out of state and when I call am informated that it will cost money to receive that information or they just plain will not help you. Try a site called Random Acts of Kindness and see if you can get a volunteer to help you out. This is of course is when you receive the information that you are searching. Remember too that your aunt can be buried in religious cemetery too. You have not given any vital information but if you use www.rootsweb.com and go into New York and than Queens they have a good site for information there. Hope some of this will help you out.
