I have not researched the Rietzel back but my Anna is the daughter of Gustave and Annie Bird Rietzel with a daughter Sophia also. I have just been so busy lately that I have not had time to do much searching but hope to get back to it soon. My Anna married into my Cestaro line and I have just recently found the marriage cert and census. They were in the Astoria, and she was born in Corona. Her father was born in Maspeth LI and her mom was born in Flushing LI NY. So there maybe a connection as Anna was 23 in 1917 which would make her born in the late 1800's as is her parents.
