His father was from New York. I believe his father was Nicholls Wells. I found them living next door to each other on the 1880 Jackson, Alabama census. Nicholls was born in New York around 1814. I believe Nicholls is a Jr. One of Obadiah's daughters is my great grandmother. I would like to learn more about the Wells family. Eager to hear from anyone who may be connected to this family.
