Still searching for family of Michael Cardinale Belmont born in NYC of an immigrant mother Lucia Lacavara. Biological father unknown....speculate his surname may have been Adama. Fathered 17 children by three women. Children used different surnames at different times. One, my father in law now deceased used Cardinal after his marriage, others used Belmont and some used Cardinale. I understand there was bitterness between the 3 children by his wife Mary Agnes O'Shea who divorced him in 1925 and the mothers of the other children.
