Was John born there in Fairfield, if so, is he the John MILLS who married possibly after a first marriage. He was married to Rebecca SMITH and apparently they are listed as being from Sussex Co. NJ when they applied for relief from the government in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada for their losses suffered in New Jersey. He is listed as a loyalist, U E L, etc. His son John who married Permilla Seeley/Seely, etc. family, other members also applied for their losses. John and Rebecca had at least 10 children.
