According to "Genealogical Resources in the New York Metropolitan Area," pub. in 1989, the Marriage License Bureau (for Queens) is at the City Clerk?s Office, Queens Borough Hall, 120-55 Queens Blvd, Kew Gardens NY 11424; phone 718-520-3665. I hope this information is still current. It?s important to mention that you are his daughter and it wouldn?t hurt to provide a xerox copy of your photo i.d. when you send in the application or letter of application. What you receive may be a newly-prepared transcript of the license, rather than a photostat of the original. It will contain the grooom?s age, birthplace and names of his parents. Use that information to look up his exact date of birth if he was born in New York City. The annual index books are at the New York Public Library in Manhattan, on the first floor. I have posted information about that dozens of times at Ancestry.com. When you get his exact date of birth, go to this website : http://www.people-finders.ws Input his date of birth in this format: 01-04-1936. Input his name. If they don?t have him, try this website : http://ssdi.rootsweb.com It has an Advanced Search which accepts dates of birth. Reg Niles
