If you're asking about Queens County marriages, there were no marriage certificates during the 1870s. There are surviving Long Island City registers, but none for the other Queens towns until the 1880s. The information on the LIC registers varied widely from page to page. - They all include the names of bride and groom, date and name of official. - Some pages include the bride and groom's countries of birth. - Some pages include the names of the parents. There is a groom index that supposedly covers 1881-1897, but I know it also contains LIC entries for the 1870s: FHC film# 1908328 "Index to grooms (Queens) 1881-1897 (arranged by towns of Flushing, Jamaica, College Point, Whitestone, & Long Island City,)" Good luck!
