Indenture of 27 April 1769. Henry Valentine of the Township of Hempstead in Queens County to Philip Allin of the same, for the full sum of 67 pounds ten shillings lawful money of New York. Parcel of meadow land in Township of Hempstead at the south side of a neck called Near Rockaway, being bounded as follows..... On 4 May 1769 Mary Valentine, wife of Henry, made her mark to release, renounce and quit her Right of Dower or power of thirds that she had or might have at a later time in these same premises.
