I was able to do this due to a man (Don Valentine) who has done extensive genealogy research on the Valentine Family throughout the country. He has a lot of info. on the Valentine family from Long Island, so if you haven't already, you may want to contact him. There is also a book (I know it is in Queens Library) titled "The Valentine Family in the US" (or something like that) that has a very good accounting of the family from Long Island. I don't have any direct knowledge of your Elizabeth Valentine who married Uriah Hendrickson. The one Valentine who I have in my line that married into the Hendrickson family is Mary Valentine (b. 1857, daughter of Hiram and Eliza Valentine). She married John W. Hendrickson.
