Joan, Wait a week and call them again, perhaps you will get a different Clerk to help. And Perhaps, they have his name spelt differently Than what is on the death cert. Or if they are looking at computer Lists, ask them to check their old card or book system as I have Done all these things when told someone was not there and lo and Behold , they were found.
