Are often difficult to obtain. Some churches consider the information confidential while others will only give a copy to a family member. Depending on the church and the year you are looking for, you may never receive an answer to a written query. There is usually a fee involved if you do not know the date...sometimes a fee is involved even when you do. And sad to say sometimes the church does not have the staff to do these lookups and even some who do, just don't want to do it. Elizabeth V.
