A question has come up regarding parishes in the Diocese of Brooklyn and/or the Archdiocese of New York keeping records of the death of parishioners. When I wrote to parishes I was told they did not keep that type of record. Now a friend is saying that she has obtained such data not necessarily from the two NY dioceses.
