    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Byron Schlesinger Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WUB.2ACI/1426.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for a helpful reply! Does the 1958 medical directory say where in Brooklyn his office was? I am not sure if the SSDI listing in MI is the proper person, but I am very sure that Dr. Charles Stanford Byron was the son of Max Byron. Both Charles and Max registered for the WW1 draft listing the same address -1465 Dekalb Ave, Brooklyn, NY - and Charles named Max, his father, as closest relative. I have the children of Charles Byron and Lillian Schlesinger from the 1930 Census, Queens, Dist 616 858 Forest Ave. In addition, his office is listed in the 1935-1936 MEDICAL DIRECTORY OF NEW YORK QUEENS PHYSICIANS LIST BYRON, Charles S., 858 Forest av., Ridgewood The WW1 draft registration for Charles states he was born 15 Sept. 1898. The 1900 Census for Max Byron says son Charles was born June 1899. So birthday in doubt. This is why I came to the Queens list for help. The family did live in Queens. Did doctors of that time have Social Security? I thot maybe they did not and that was why I wasn't finding him on SSDI. However, Max Byron is listed on SSDI as born 3 July 1873 (WW1draft registration says born July 4), d. May 1972, last residence Flushing, Queens, NY. Seemed like I might have a chance of finding an obit, or family, for a Russian immigrant owning a painting and decorating center for many years, who lived almost to 100. How remarkable!
