Did find his death anouncement though but no mention of how / why he died, he was only 48. Also found he was the ships Captain of the J P Wheeler from 1861-1866. And have found a reference to one of his sons, Richard Henry Gadd, as Capt. of the SS Wyoming and SS Nevada. This son died in late 1880's in Costa Rica. His other son ,Arthur Prentice Gadd, also died in Costa Rica in 1919. So this leads to other questions re Costa Rica------it never ends lol!! Do you know anything about ships--would love to know the history of all three.. Been looking for pictures as well but to no avail. Any suggestions?? Regards, Pat.
