FYI Ridgewood Times – April 28, 2005 – p29 Tour Of Flushing Cemetery Offers History Of Queens See Monuments Of Notables; Trees The Queens Historical Society will offer a guided walking tour of historic Flushing Cemetery on Sunday, May 1, from 2 to 4 pm. Historian James Driscoll will explore the history of the cemetery and visit the notables buried there. Horticulturalist Thomas R Gains will take visitors to the specimen trees and families associated with the horticultural history of Flushing. Tour-goers should meet at 2 pm at the main entrance to the cemetery, 163-06 46th Ave. at Pigeon Meadow Road.
