She was born in Waterbury, CT. Moved to NY after her mother died in 1923. Lived in the Bronx, than moved to woodhull ave. Hollis LI, NY, where she and a roommate Ann Patricia O'Shea lived and worked for defunk Long Island Press from 1939-to about 1965. Pat died in 1969 and is buried in Waterbury, CT. Given an unsubstantiated date of 9 Dec 1980 that Edith died. However, don't know where she died, who was the funeral home in charge or where she was buried. SSDI Record gives her last residence as Jamaica, Queens, NY. Her last benefit was paid @ Bronx, NY 10471. Conctacted Social Security at Bronx, NY but they would not acknowledge any such person and was informed if I wasn't the next of kin no info could I get. Even tho she was my father's sister. So, what alternative do I have to get documentation about her? As she was one of my unknow aunt's. I have info about my father, his father & mother & his grandfather & grandmother, but can't find or get any info on my aunt. What is my legal recourse to get documents about her?
