(According to New York site, nothing available before 1881) He was an artist who, according to various records, was born in Flushing, New York and died in Nebraska. His father was the Reverend Robert Nutt Gilder. Would he possibly be listed in the 1860 census for that area? ANY help is extremely(!!!) appreciated.
