Barb, You are unlikely to ever reach a relative by posting to a mailing list in such a large place. We are happy to try to help with the research. Some dates? And tell us what research you have done already in Queens Co.? I would check out the web for historical societies and libraries that have specific early Oyster county records also. I assume you have posted to a surname board or mailing list. Henry and Charles Schwarting were born in Hannover, came to NY in their youth and lived in Queens before it became Nassau County. Owned land in Oyster Bay. Would like to talk with anyone who is a relative. Barb Schwarting

Searching for info on HOCK or HOCH and also LEHN, in the late 1800s, probably in the Astoria area.

Looking for any Trasaks, (my great grandparents). Charles (1875-1943) came to the US in 1894 from Bohemia. Married (1894) a Mary (Marie) Klecak (b. 1876, Bohemia, immigrated 1887). She died around 1919 (NY or NJ). Charles remarried Emma Skudura in 1920. They all lived in Queens and eventually Skillman, NJ. Charles and Mary (Marie) had at least 4 children: Caroline b.1897, Helen b. 1908 , Daniel (Kvetoslaw) b. 1901, and Bertha b. 1895. There is also a Dlarta b.1899 and Chollate, but I think Chollate is Caroline...dates match. I haven't been able to find death certificates for Charles, Mary (Marie) or their marriage certificate. Nor have I been able to find their immigration papers. I have found them under Trasak, Frasack, Frasak, Drasak, and Trasok. Thanks!! Janice
