John Maxwell and Caroline Carpenter lived in Queens from about 1895 on. Prior to that they lived in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Also looking for the descendants of William and Alfred Maxwell who were brothers of the above named John. Also looking for descendants of their sisters Jemima Maxwell, who was married to George Kidney, and Amelia Maxwell, who was married to Joseph Edgerley.
George and his brother Michael (AKA James) Whelan were born in Lackawaxen, PA. George married Catherine Morley and Michael married Delia (AKA Bridget) Morley. Both couples lived in Queens from about 1908 on. My ancestor was their sister Mary Whelan Sullivan. Are there any descendants of these WHELANS out there???

Can anyone tell me what newspapers would have been in circulation in Breezy Point, NY in 1981 and in 1966 also. I'm searching for information about James Brown of Far Rockaway (zip code 11697) who died in December of 1981. I'm also searching for information about his father, Joseph Brown (married Margaret) who died in February of 1966 also in Far Rockaway, same zip code. I'd like to find obits.
