Surnames: Frey, Scherrer, Gallagher, Grund, Tegyi Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WUB.2ACI/1372.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Yes, we have them in the 1880 census...parents, children, daughters in law and so on. We have everyone in the 1900 and later census except for the parents....Johan Jacob and Elisabeth Frey. We also have death certificates for their children but not for them. They are not buried in the plots their children are in except for the possibility of Max. I sent for his death certificate this afternoon. It is possible they are buried in Calvary but am sure you know without a date of death or burial or plot number even there is no way I can obtain any information.

    1. Spahns interred in Dillman grave
    2. frank dillman
    3. To all Spahn and Dackerman researchers -- my great grandmother, Mary Dillman (nee Dackerman) purchased a family lot in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Queens in 1919. She lived on Morgan Avenue for many years before moving to Queens a few years before her death. There is an Alma, Alfried W., Louisa, and George Spahn interred with her and three other Dackermans. I would be interested in knowing if anyone has an idea or documentation of a Spahn/Dillman or Spahn/Dackerman connection. Thank you. They do not appear on the 1900 census. It is possible one or both of them may have gone to live with a son named Max who lived in Brooklyn, I apologize for not giving much detail. I am looking to find their dates of death and hopefully their place of burial. Thank you for calling attention to my sloppy post. I do know better.

We found them on the 1880 census but not on the 1900 and they are not on the updated data base at http://www.italiangen.org/NYCDeathSearch.stm Johan Jacob may be listed as Jake...John, Johan or Jacob....and it is possible they may have moved to Kings County to live with a son. 3. Jun 18 1934 NY Times "Dr. H. E. Meyer Praises the Rev. Emil Podszus for 25 Years' Service in Ministry"....body of story also has: The Rev. Dr. H. E. Meyer said yesterday at the concluding service in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Rev. Emil Podszus and his tenth anniversary as pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Sixth Street, between First and Second Avenues." It was also noted that Dr. H. E. Meyer spoke in German.... Know this is not a complete answer to your question...but does perhaps indicate the religion you are looking for. Virginia
