Using the information that you sent, a new search on Ancestry turned-up a MUNCHOW Siegfried, who filed a declaration of intention in the US District Court, Southern District of New York, #364260, on 14 May 1935. The information that you sent has been added to the envelope's posting on Philgen.org. Thanks again, Jim Miller Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If the person was indigent she may have been buried in City Cemetery at Hart Island, a small uninhabited island off the Bronx. I believe the cemetery may still be used. There are no grave markers. Was John the son of Vincent Esposito, living at 23-41 89th Street, Queens at the 1930 census when he was 24? Have you any other information on the family? Dates, places? There are four divisions of Calvary Cemetery. Calvary Section 41 in in "Second Calvary." Section 41 is just north of the Long Island Expressway at the eastern part of the cemetery, abutting Betts Avenue, diagonally opposite the office. I'll be going to Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn. Does anyone need a lookup? Steve, New York
I just went to goggle and gave the address you seek. It also gave me access to a photo map ot the street and the houses on the street. Try it . It really is neat. I have lived in Hollis and can see the house I was raised in. Is there someone who could find the party below in a 1951 City Directory or phone book and/or could do a lookup for the address given in 1951? If you don't find her but find a Helen at that address in 1951, what was her last name on the offhand chance she may have remarried? This is genealogical research and this party is a clue in breaking down a long-standing brickwall. Helen Drake living at 138-48 231st Street, Laurelton, Long Island, New York in 1951. She would have been about 64 at the time. There may or may not have been a Charles Francis Drake, (son) born in Illinois about 1908 or Kathleen Anna Drake, (daughter) born in Illinois about 1910 living with her. These are her two children. I would be grateful for this information as well but it is not that important. What kind of building was at this address, such as an apartment complex, etc?
