Ms de Mare: In my search for Christians, some one sent me this link for maps of NY around 1867, including Putnam County. These maps show the locations of family farms/homes. http://www.westchesterarchives.com/CW/Thumbnails/1867Atlas_th.htm Looking at a "current" map (1988 edition New York state Atlas & Gazetteer; DeLorme Mapping Company) Christian Corners is on the map (p33) on the north end of Oscawana Lake and on the east side of the lake. My understanding when I was searching this location a few years back was that the name was going away because they (who ever "they" are) were going to build homes in that area. I live in San Diego area, so I have no idea what Christian Corners was changed to. I hope this helps you.
