BAILEY to Mr. William STEVENS. Stevens - Bailey On Tuesday evening, December 31, 1895 at 6:45 p.m., a charming wedding occurred at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Levi BAILEY, at the North Highlands. The residence was crowded with invited guests to witness the nuptials of Mr. William STEVENS of Kent, this county, and Miss Amy BAILEY, eldest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. BAILEY. The grandmother of the bride, Mrs. Peter MEKEEL, was married in the same room 69 years ago, and was also a witness and guest at this marriage. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C.S. OAKLEY, pastor of the North Highland M. E. Church. After the ceremony a bountiful repast was served, followed by several choice vocal and instrumental selections rendered by a few of the guests present. The bride and groom are spending the honeymoon at Greenwich, Conn. They have the congratulations of their many friends who wish them many years of happiness. Among those from out of town who were present were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond RUDD, Miss Lizzie M. HUSTED, Miss Bessie H. RUSSELL and Mr. Willie MEKEEL all of Port Chester, Conn.
