    1. [NYPUTNAM] NJ Veterans Memorial Home graves in Vineland 1900 to 1966
    2. I asked permission to forward this to all of you on lists i belong too- a lot of our men ancestors left ny and parts of nj for south jersey care- so check it for your family-good site anyway. linda ps-since so many immigrated to ny or to south jersey afterwards, i am sending to those lists. families began to move around then! Hi Everyone, I am tired but happy!! I just finished documenting the cemetery at the NJ Veteran's Memorial Home in Vineland, NJ on www.findagrave.com. A big thank you goes to CEO Joe Romano who gave me a copy of the interments so that I was able to transcribe them. I do plan on photos of the tombstones but that will have to come in time. I will handle any specific requests first then get to the remainder of the cemetery. I have done a few on request already. This is an inactive cemetery as of 1966. So it is done!!! The earliest burials were in 1900. Many veterans of the Civil War and WWI are buried here as are some from the Spanish American War and WWII. Service information is included with many of the veterans which may be a help for those researching an individual. Many veteran's spouses are buried with them. Service records may be available to obtain further information. Many widows of veterans are buried here without their spouses. In many cases the service information for the veteran is included with her (even on the tombstone). It is only a guess but perhaps the spouse was lost while serving. I hope this will help in searching for veterans in your family trees especially in the south Jersey area although there are many from other states also. It is an honor to document the lives of our veterans who have served so gallantly for our nation.
