A person on the list, Joyce Pearce, sent me this message in response to my query about death indexes for Putnam County. Just want to say a big thank you to her, and to the list, because I found my missing link in less than a half an hour of searching this newspaper archive!! Yipee! This was a person I had been stalled on for several years. Welcome to the Mahopac Public Library Digital Archives Carol, This site has been great for me researching my family in Putnam and Dutchess Countys. Go into the the second line that says "click here to search the entire collection" and put in your family name and a year that you want to search. It's very tedious and time consuming, but well worth it when you come upon a marriage or obituary. You may have to keep track of each year that you've looked at.
