If it was record it would be in town records on births, marriage and deaths. You can also check church records for bapitsms. Since they were from Ireland chance is that they were Catholic or Lutheran. Check the Mormon Family History site at: www.familysearch.org for Cold Springs. This site will also give you the nearest Mormon Library to you. You should also check when Cold Springs became a town. Reason being that if it was not town in that time period, records maybe in one of the surrounding communities. Also check immigration records under Beatty name. There is an Irish Genealogy Society on the net but you have to do a google search for it. They will be very helpful for you. There is a Griffiths Valuation at list the possible areas where the Beatty family may have come from. I think this is online now too. Did you get a death record on your grandfather?
