Author: pbyron1305 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.putnam/747.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm not sure about the tale behind it...but growing up, when we drove east on Joe's Hill (not Federal Road) NY to CT, an old dead tree on the right was broken and eroded in such a way that when you looked at it, the way the bark and shadows lay, it looked like Jesus on the Cross. I don't know about the 12 disciples. There is a "wind break" of trees all about the same age as the Jesus tree all up and down both sides of the road from the old farm that was once there. The Melrose School now owns the property. The tree was removed due to mischievous going ons by local teens. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
