What was Fredericksburgh (and before that the Southern District of Dutchess Co) is now the town of Patterson (and part of Kent ) in Putnam County NY. (Putnam split from Dutchess in 1812 or so.) What religion was your Squire? Unfortunately, there are no early church records for the Episcopal or Presbyterian Churches in Patterson , although both churches were around at the time of the Revolution. The Baptist church in Patterson is even a bit older, but most of their early records ended up in Millerton NY (Town of Northeast) when the Baptist Church congregation divided. Janet C
