Years ago, I decided on two goals / parameters. 1-To distribute to my 2 sisters and to my own 4 children and 2-to send the appropriate sections to EACH county where a family has lived.[WELL, insofar as I had discovered.] One outgrowth of this during the research- process was that I became a teacher / leader in Research Methods for genealogy in a weekly class here in Thousand Oaks,California. We teachers were two and alternated weeks, about 30-40 participants every week. I was NOT getting my own research done,however,:So, I chose two very talented persons to take my job although I still occasionally take a class. Now there are 3 teachers to take-turns plus others do special-subject matter from time to time. Wonderful group of people and everyone helps another with ideas and suggestions.. I have NOT heard of another weekly class from any other researchers except,of course, in a college or school.
