Pat Randall Oh my goodness, Cousin Pat, I just reread this email I had gotten from you a while back and much to my surprise, we do connect. At the time, I didn't have much info on my Richard Rogers. But, having gone home to Dutchess County over Christmas, I visited Beacon (Matteawan) on the way back. I managed to stumble accross a Methodist Church in Beacon (St. Lukes?) where many of my relatives are buried. My Richard Rogers (b. July 10, 1800 d. Oct 18, 1866) is the same as yours. I have a picture of his headstone as having married Mary Henyan (b. Mar 14, 1809 d. Jan 8, 1887). That means that his dad is Daniel Rogers as you state. I have his headstone also. He is burried with his grandson? Daniel J. Rogers. His headstone states: Daniel Rogers, Died May 26, 1852, Aged 88 years. Which would have him being born in 1764 as you indicate. So you have now helped me as I was unsure of his connection to Richard. You also give me another link back to his parents: Richard Rogers and Elizabeth Warren and their parents: John Rogers If all this is truly true, you've helped me with quite a puzzle. My family lore claims that we are descended from Thomas Rogers of the Mayflower, but that wouldn't be true if your links are correct. Please let me know any more info you have on your Rogers line and how sure you are of the data. This is very good news.
