She will present an overview of the detailed agricultural, industrial, manufacturing, mortality, and social statistics available in these special forms, which can help family researchers trace the lives of ancestors in Connecticut and other states. She will also show examples of specific information in these records and demonstrate how to locate this type of data. Nora Galvin is a professional genealogist in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and the owner of Aunt Lizzie's Trunk. In addition to serving as treasurer and membership chair of the Connecticut Ancestry Society, she is a member of the Board of Governors of Connecticut Society of Genealogists and other professional organizations. The club's 2010 program continues on the evening of February 10, when Matthew Bielawa will be the featured speaker. His presentation will be: "Tracing Immigrant Ancestors from Central and Eastern Europe." All meetings of the Genealogy Club of Newtown take place in the community room of the C.H.
