It burnt down when I was a toddler. The original Church was a beautiful tall-steepled structure as often depicted on Christmas cards. It is now known as the Second Kent Baptist Church and is located at 1118 North Horsepound (used to be Horsepond) Road, Carmel, NY 10512. The phone number is 845-225-1306. The Church is located in an area cornering: Kent, Carmel, Ludingtonviille, Fishkill, and Holmes and can sometimes be found documented with one of those addresses. The original cemetery adjoins the Church on the north side, while a newer cemetery is across the street again to the northern side of the Church. The phone number is: 845-225-4620. *When looking for anyting with a Kent address in Putnam County, note it was formerly part of Dutchess County until 1812. (Also Kent is considered part of the town of Carmel with a zip code of 10512.
