These are sheets of legal paper organized in surname folders. The files are very extensive covering large numbers of families who lived in Westchester County, NY. The originals are stored in the Colin T. Naylor, Jr. Archives, but copies are available for public viewing in the library. The Field Library has an extensive collection of microfilmed newspapers and census records for the area. In addition, the Local History Collection has a treasure trove of primary source material including resident directories from 1860 on. The Field Library Research Librarian will copy requested items for a fee for out-of-state inquirers.
