From what I have found out so far Alexander McElrath came from Ireland and settled in Fishkill possibly as early as the 1780s. His decendents, at some point, moved to Nelsonville. John Robert McElrath a great grandson, my grandfather, married Lillian Monroe in the late 1890s. If you could help me in any way, I would greatly appreciate it.
