She showed me a picture of the man in a dark suit, tall hat, and braids. My sister and I were young and we can't remember his name or how we're related and have had no luck in tracing this heritage. The last two town historians also said we had Indian blood, but couldn't verify the lineage. If you look at an antique map of the Kent NY from 1868 (you can find and view this on the Internet), you will see in the upper region all of your family's homesteads. As you head south, you'll see a deli/convenience store on the left hand side of the road and behind it you may be able to see a few headstones. You can pull into the road right past it on the left and a short drive in, you'll see more of the cemetery on your left. If you have want to look on a map or use online mapping software, it's at the corner of Horton Road and Route 9 in Cold Spring. The GPS coordinates are 41.477872, -73.913334.
