    1. [NYOTSEGO] Daniel and Solomon Miller

    3. I am looking for any information on Solomon Miller b 1800 and either a son named Daniel b abt 1825 or a father named Daniel between 1760 and 1770. I have the 1850 census with an S F Miller age 50 in Junius, Seneca county, NY. There is no wife, the oldest child is a son with the initials W L at the age of 23. I have Solomon in the 1840 census in Richfield, Otsego co., with with 4 boys and 4 girls, the oldest boy is in the 20 -30 bracket which would fit my Daniel, the wife is listed in the 40 - 50 bracket. In the 1830 census there is a Daniel listed in Otsego in the 60 -70 bracket. The next line is Solomon in the 30 - 40 bracket with an oldest boy of 10 and under 15 which again fits my Daniel. In my Daniel's obituary is stated the fact that he was born near Oneonta about 71 years ago. This puts him in Otsego county and born about 1825. I am not stating as a fact that my Daniel is Solomon's son and Daniel's grandson just that there is a strong possibility. I could use any help I can get that may have information about these men. 3. Shirley, I believe that I have the same family in my background. I'm not exactly sure of the time of their move to Oswego County from Schoharie County or the route they took. You can see what information I have either at my personal website: http://bingweb.binghamton.edu/~eshephar/ROOTSMAGIC%20WEBSITE/EJSJR%20Websi te/index.html or on Ancestry.com at http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/11586511/family?fpid=-436492918 . I'd be happy to share information. Best, Ed *************************************** Edward J. Shephard Jr. Director of Collections Binghamton University Libraries P.O. 3. Superior Twp. and Salem Twp. in Washtenaw Co. Michigan were very popular places for people migrating from Junius and Phelps, New York.  In the 1860 census of Superior Twp., Washtenaw Co. Michigan there is a Solomon Miller age 56 (ca 1804) NY, Pheba Miller age 59, b. NY, Curry G. Miller age 21, b. NY and Margaret C. Miller age 17, b. Michigan. Also in the 1860 census of Superior Twp. is a Daniel Miller age 10, b. Mich.  He is listed in the family of John Miller who is 34 and b. in NY. Hope this is the family you are looking for.
