According to Revolutionary War pension records, (#3347) in 1814 he is in Westford NY and he appears on a list of names of men in Worcester, Otsego Co NY who served in the Revolutionary War. He is in the 1820 census for Worcester, Otsego County, NY with 1 male under 10, 1 age 16-25, 1 male over 45, 2 females 10 -15, 1 female 16-25, and 1 female over 45 . On June 21, 1820 at age 66, living in Worcester NY, he petitioned ?" I have a deed for 35 acres of land for which I am to pay $250 and for this amount I gave my bond for the amount of the mortgage being the value of the land. I have paid no part of it to the old man except $30 which I purchased with my pension money. (Here I can't read) 2 cows, 1 of them was purchased with my pension money and the other for $3.75. 1 hog, 1 old chest, 6 old chairs, 1 table. ? By occupation a basket maker - very infirm and troubled with a rupture - I can do little or no work. I have a wife and 4 children, Russel aged 16 years, not very healthy, Anna aged 14 is able to support herself, Fanna aged 20 years is deranged and unable to do any work and Bartlett aged 8 year. ? I am indebted over and above all debts due to me and the mortgage above mentioned. I depend on my pension for my support." There is a lengthy list of town members who added their names in support of his petition. He died in Worcester February 17, 1824. (He was born in Duxbury MA in 1752, and lived in Pelham, Hampshire County Mass during the War.) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
