Am asking as there are times during the year [summer time, Baseball Hall of Fame wkend specifically] that if you don't have room reservations you won't find any in the area. Or if there is something available, it will be at the highest possible rate. Just thought you should know this fact about the area. With all the other suggestions, would add visiting the Huntington Library in Oneonta. It has an extensive historial collection with staffing. Good luck with your research!
