My father's name was Harry Crapser by birth. He was put up for adoption in the Upstate Baptist Home for Children, and adopted and re-named Robert D'Amato. My father had two brothers, Alvah (born 1918) and Fred Crapser (born 1921). I was told that both of them were also in the Upstate Baptist Home, but sadly not adopted. This doesn't seem to make sense as it appears that the facility did not open until the mid/late 1920's. I believe I may have waited too long to try to piece together a part of our family history that is long gone. My father has been gone for so many years now, and this is something he always wanted to know. It appears to be one big puzzle. In any case, any information that you could send me would certainly be appreciated. I will certainly look at the link that you sent early. Thank you for your help and taking the time to reach out.
